At this time of year, growing numbers of Americans are desperately seeking refuge from the relentless stream of Christmas carols that are blasted from loudspeakers in all manner of public places. The more we listen to the lyrics of these carols, the more we understand how foreign the culture was from which they were derived.
The carols exhort people to show feudal support to their lords, on earth and in heaven. Lords? Who has lords anymore?
This video asks the blasphemous question: If we would laugh at our elected politicians for having the arrogance to claim that they are gods, why do people unthinkingly accept the same posture in their religion?
